Belfast Botanic Gardens holds two restored Victorian glasshouses: the Palm House, one of the earliest curvilinear cast-iron glasshouses anywhere, and the Tropical Ravine, a sunken glass-roofed jungle house with a raised walkway over the planting.

Belfast City Council states on its own visitor page: “It is free to visit the Tropical Ravine and the Palm House.” The surrounding park is free too.

Opening times are the Tropical Ravine 10am to 4pm daily (last admission 3.45pm) and the Palm House 10am to 3.30pm daily (last admission 3.15pm). It is a turn-up-on-the-day visit, but hours can change on public and bank holidays.
