Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery in Chamberlain Square states that general admission is free. It is best known for holding the world’s most important collection of Pre-Raphaelite art, alongside the Staffordshire Hoard, fine and applied art and the city’s own history galleries.

Last entry is at 4:45pm. The Edwardian Tearooms inside the building are a destination in their own right if you want lunch while you are there.

No booking is needed for general admission, though individual ticketed exhibitions and events are listed separately on the website.
