The Fitzwilliam Museum on Trumpington Street is the University of Cambridge’s principal museum of art and antiquities, with Egyptian, Greek and Roman collections alongside paintings by Titian, Monet and Picasso in a landmark neoclassical building.

The museum’s own visit page states “Free entry” to the collection, and confirms that entry to ticketed exhibitions is also free for children under 18.

It is a walk-in visit – no booking needed for the permanent galleries. Check the opening days before travelling, as the museum is closed on Mondays outside bank holidays.
