Memrise is a language-learning app and website. It lists more than 150 languages, including Spanish, French, German, Japanese and Chinese, and says you can start learning for free.

Go to Memrise, choose “Start learning” and create a free account, or download the app.

The free plan is permanent, not a trial. A paid plan unlocks extra features; you do not need to subscribe to use the free version.
