National Museums Liverpool runs a family of venues across the city and admission to its museums and galleries is free. World Museum alone covers natural history, world cultures, an aquarium and a planetarium under one roof.
Also free are the Walker Art Gallery, the Museum of Liverpool on the waterfront, the Maritime Museum, the International Slavery Museum and Sudley House, so you can build a whole weekend out of them without paying admission.
During school holidays there is a free buggy park at World Museum. Some special exhibitions are ticketed, and members get those free, but the permanent collections cost nothing.
