Online Carpets run a sample service so you can check colour and pile at home before ordering a roll.

Their free samples page states that up to six free samples are available on carpets, vinyl flooring, laminate flooring, LVT and underlay, up to a maximum of 18 per household, with free Royal Mail postage and delivery usually in two to three working days.

The only exception is artificial grass samples, which carry a £1.00 postage charge. Everything else on the list is genuinely free.
