parkrun organises free, weekly, timed 5k (and junior 2k) events in parks and green spaces across the UK, entirely funded by donations, grants and sponsorship rather than entry fees.

Registration is a one-off process on the parkrun website – you are issued a personal parkrun barcode that works at any parkrun event worldwide, whether you want to run, jog, walk or volunteer.

There is no charge to take part, no need to re-register for different events, and results are published online after every run so you can track your own progress over time.
