The RNLI publishes a free library of water safety teaching resources for young people, covering how to be safe in, on and around water – one of those things every child should know and most are never formally taught.

There are problem-solving activities tailored for primary and secondary ages, free printable worksheets, stories and personalised certificates for younger children, plus quizzes, role-play and presentation tasks for teenagers. Everything is downloadable and editable for use at home or in a classroom.

Designed for teachers but free for parents and grandparents to use too, and a sensible thing to go through before a summer holiday near the coast.
