The Royal Armouries Museum at Leeds Dock houses the UK’s national collection of arms and armour, from medieval tournament armour and Henry VIII’s pieces to Asian and hunting galleries, plus regular live combat and falconry demonstrations.

The museum’s own venue page lists “Free entry” for all visitors to the galleries, with no membership or advance ticket needed.

It is a straightforward walk-in: turn up during opening hours. Occasional ticketed events and workshops run alongside the free galleries, so check the What’s On pages if you want a demonstration day.
