The Summer Reading Challenge, run by The Reading Agency in partnership with public libraries and funded by Arts Council England, is a free holiday reading programme for children aged 4 to 11.

Sign up in person at your local library from July to pick up a free starter pack – including a sticker booklet, bookmark and Storytime magazine – or register online and set a personal reading goal to track from home.

Children can read anything they like and collect stickers and character cards along the way, earning a certificate and medal for completing six books or reading goals.
