Greenforce - Wildlife Conservation Expeditions Brochure

Greenforce is a not-for-profit organisation with ten years of experience organising wildlife conservation expeditions around the globe. Working alongside leading bodies, it combines hands-on conservation work with training and adventure travel that aims to leave a positive impact on both the environment and local communities.

Conservation partnerships and aims

Greenforce collaborates with organisations such as the Wildlife Conservation Society, WWF and the Red Cross. Together they create marine and terrestrial national parks and protected areas for wildlife, while also working to improve living conditions and local economies in the areas where projects take place.

Training on marine and terrestrial projects

Depending on the type of expedition, participants receive structured training to help them contribute effectively to the work.

  • On marine projects, dive training is provided up to PADI Advanced Open Water with Emergency First Response (EFR), alongside all science and survey training.
  • On terrestrial projects, language and science training is provided where appropriate.

Adventure expeditions and internships

Greenforce has worked with its field staff to develop more adventure-focused expeditions, drawing on their detailed knowledge of the areas in which they work in order to boost local tourism. These expeditions offer flexibility and choice, allowing travellers to build an experience around their own interests while supporting the environment and communities they visit.

Internships are also available in Australia, Spain and Ecuador. The placements in Spain and Ecuador include two weeks of Spanish classes beforehand, helping participants brush up their language skills and build confidence before starting work.
