VISIT PENDLE BROCHURE

Pendle has it all. Nestling in Pennine Lancashire, Pendle offers some of England's finest countryside, as well as beautiful villages, bustling towns and wide open spaces to explore at whatever pace takes your fancy. There's always lots to do in Pendle with great events all year round, including Pendle Walking & Cycling Festivals, Pendle Canal Festival and the biggest Blues Festival in Britain. Whether you love historic houses or countryside activities, like to 'shop until you drop', or are looking for family fun, Pendle has it all.

If you love the great outdoors, then you are in for a treat. Within just a few minutes drive is some of the most superb scenery in the UK. The mighty Pendle Hill dominates the landscape. From the summit the views to both east and west are truly spectacular.

Scratch beneath the surface and you'll find that Pendle is an area rich in heritage. Visit the Earby Lead Mining Museum and learn about the geology of the landscape and the lives of the people who worked there.

Why not take a boat trip along the Leeds & Liverpool Canal and see some of the incredible feats of engineering such as the Mile Tunnel and Foulridge Wharf, or walk one of the Tacklers Trails, one of the many Heritage Trails around the area. These trails feature fascinating famous people, as well as fine churches, and amazing industrial heritage.
