Community Action Treks (CAT) is a travel company specialising in trekking and climbing in the Himalaya and other mountain regions, combining genuine mountaineering expertise with a commitment to the communities it visits.
Community Action Treks is headed by mountaineer Doug Scott, trek leader Jeff Frew and Martin West, and backed up by knowledgeable and enthusiastic office and field staff. Their combined experience of running treks and climbing expeditions means they are truly specialists in the areas where they operate. They are fully bonded members of ATOL.
The company works alongside its sister charity, Community Action Nepal. Once running costs are covered, the proceeds from its treks go to fund community development projects in the areas where trekkers travel.
