The Company

The Expedition Company was founded in 1998 in order to bring to others the benefits the directors had gained from travel and adventure.

Based in Somerset, England, we operate around the globe delivering a range of challenging experiences. The Expedition Company is a way of life for us and we are passionate about what we do. Whether you choose to go on a school expedition or one of our development courses, you will be guided by experts who care about their work.

We run only a limited number of expeditions each year: we give to them and our expedition teams our fullest attention. Our outdoor courses are run by instructors of exceptional quality with whom we have a long term relationship. It is because of this that Ordnance Survey have chosen to work with us in delivering a wide range of navigation and outdoor courses.

Our specialist expertise lies with schools, and we have a proven track record of co-ordinating tailor-made overseas school expeditions, where our teams stay with indigenous communities. Using this knowledge we have also developed an extensive range of gap year placements and student development programmes. Travel, adventure, environment, community: these things matter to us. We believe that through our enthusiasm for them we can enrich the lives of those individuals with whom we work.
