The Mr Fothergill's Plant Catalogue from Mr Fothergill's Seeds Ltd was packed with interesting plants to provide colour to beds, borders, baskets and containers, alongside a choice selection of fruit and vegetables to grow on the allotment or in the fruit and vegetable garden.
The catalogue featured several plants from Mr Fothergill's own breeding work. The new and exclusive Verbena Talman's Fragrant Treasure (page 3) was described as very special, coming from their own unique breeding programme. Its sweetly scented, lavender blue flowers were noted as perfect for patio pots and window boxes.
