Shetland knitters are famous throughout the world for their traditional skills and patterns which have been handed down through generations. The Collection is hand knitted or framed in pure wool from the native Shetland sheep which are known for their lightweight fleeces resulting in knitwear renowned for its softness and warmth.

This catalogue presents you with a new collection from the knitters working in their own homes using their traditional skills. From the very finest hand spun, hand knitted garments in the natural colours of the native Shetland sheep to a more colourful hand framed collection from Textile students at Shetland College.

Hand knitted hats, gloves and scarves are available to co-ordinate with most designs, self coloured skirts are also available in either gored or pencil style.

Also featured is a beautiful collection of hand knitted lace items, including the cobweb lace christening shawl - a rare heirloom piece to be treasured and passed from generation to generation.
