Conceived in 1991 by Dr Peter Cattermole, a respected expert in the field of planetary geology and volcanology, Journeys of Special Scientific Interest was designed to cater for those with an interest in geology, astronomy, ancient history, botany and photography. Travelling to a variety of destinations throughout the world, we have been careful to retain the important aspect of learning and exploration and as a consequence the majority of the departures are led by Peter himself.
