Peter Sommer Travels offers both land-based tours and gulet cruises. Travellers can sail along Turkey's turquoise coast, through the Greek Islands, or along the Amalfi Coast and Italian shore, enjoying relaxation, food and swimming. On land, they can explore some of the finest archaeological sites in the world, retracing the route of Alexander the Great in Greece and Turkey.

The tours and cruises are led by a team of tour guides, archaeologists and historians who bring the past to life. Friendly and knowledgeable, they are enthusiasts steeped in the history and culture of Turkey, Greece and Italy. Groups are kept small, with a maximum of 16 on land and 14 by sea, travelling in an easy-going, informal style.
In 1994, Peter Sommer walked 2,000 miles across Turkey, following in the footsteps of Alexander the Great, and fell in love with the country, its ancient civilisations and its people. A British archaeologist and documentary maker, Peter has spent years leading and organising historical and cultural tours and gulet cruises escorted by expert guides. The UK-based specialist operator is a member of AITO (the Association of Independent Tour Operators), ASTTO (the UK's Association of Specialist Turkish Tour Operators) and ASTA (the American Society of Travel Agents).
The tours and cruises cover Turkey, Greece and Italy, including Turkey's turquoise coast, the Greek Islands and the Amalfi Coast.
Groups are kept small, with a maximum of 16 people on land tours and 14 on gulet cruises.
