Parma is famous for its opera as the birthplace of Verdi and Toscanini but also for its gastronomy (Parma ham, parmesan cheese etc). It has a beautiful medieval centre and lots to see in the vicinity such as the Ferrari Experience at Maranello.

Cilento is located south of the Amalfi Coast and is a less-travelled area of the region of Campania. It's where mozzarella traditionally comes from with herds of buffalo and some lovely walks in the Cilento National Park.
